San Gimignano

From Florence, on our way to Rome, we stopped at a walled medieval hill town called San Gimignano in the province of Siena, Tuscany.  It was a great place to explore and find a geocache.

Beautiful Tuscany.

Views from San Gimignano

In one of the markets there was a little visitor entertaining us.  So cute!

I took this for Sister Assunta (at Mount St. Mary's).  I wonder if she's been here.

This is the Maria Assunta Parish at the top of San Gimignano.

A pathway to a geocache!!!

Then off to a winery in Tuscany.

These dogs entertained us with their pail play - noisy business.

Kitty in a hanging flower pot.

Poppies growing on the roof.

Our group enjoying our lunch and wine.

And lots of flowers...

On our way through Tuscany and on our way to Rome we saw lots of olive trees and grapes growing.
